T.H.E. House, Inc.

HISTORY: T.H.E. HOUSE (Temporary Help in Emergency, Inc) began serving the homeless population in the Coos Bay area in 1979. T.H.E. House was the result of organizing efforts by local churches, Coos Bay's downtown business owners and other community leaders. T.H.E. House provides short-term shelter and meals to those in need.

MISSION STATEMENT: T.H.E. House shelters and provides services to homeless men and women in order to meet their immediate needs.

FUNDING: T.H.E. House is funded by several different sources, including (but not limited to); United Way, Coos County Mental Health Department, Coos County Corrections Department, City of Coos Bay and North Bend, individual contributions, small grants and several local churches.
